Stitch Sculpt

For many of those who dont know I did character sculpture for a little while...just a hobby and did teach a couple classes.
I would love to pick it up again..its quite cathartic to work w/your hands.
Anyway, just came across this and it has sparked that love again. This is a personal piece of the Disney character "Stitch" from Lilo and Stitch. I did this as an exercise to see if I could sculpt something on model..did it in about 21 hours..(not @ once though...)

some old development

Here is some more development I did for 20th Century Fox; "They Came From Upstairs".. The project took a stylistic turn so this image is nowhere near the final look(reason it is okay to post)....after the stylistic turn it took another curve into the dumper....plug was pulled this summer... but it was fun, and would have been cool to have some of my work in a live action film...

Emmy!!!

well...its for real...the Creative Arts Emmys was Saturday and I got my Emmy statue for character design on Class of 3000 @Cartoon Network. I am quite proud of my work on that show but never thought it would come to this.......
A breathtaking and beautiful omnipotent piece of work...... and the gold thing I am holding is not bad either...
Here I am Saturday night @ the governor's ball w/my fiance and that nice piece of recognition...an Emmy....for drawing of all things.
