I did these sketches in my "on the go" sketchbook while on the train to Versailles during our trip to Paris in November 2010.
I dont know why parrots....and no not for Rio as the ads werent even prevalent at this time. I am just always trying to broaden my familiarity with subjects I rarely draw. So in this case...parrots. (I included the scan of the pencil for scale)

These are amazing. Love the pencil that shows the true scale of these guys. I would have guess that they were much larger.
